A stone throw away from the Jehangir Art Gallery and the National Gallery of Modern Art, Gallery 7 is on the main road of Rampart Row in Kalaghoda, adjacent to the Artists Centre.
Q) What are the gallery timings?
A) The gallery is open from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The gallery remains closed on Sundays and National Holidays.
Q) What kind of art does Gallery 7 deal with?
A) Gallery 7 holds works by India’s established Modern artists as well as a wide range of Contemporary artists with works in multiple mediums, to name a few; sculpture, canvas, photography, print and works on paper.
Q) How much can I expect to pay for an artwork?
A) Prices range from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs 15,00,00,000/-.
Q) Can I acquire artworks online?
A) We do not accept payments online, you may however register your details and acquire any of the artworks through multiple modes of swift payment.
Q) What are the different methods of payment available to me?
A) Modes of payment accepted by Gallery 7:
- Wire transfer (International and Domestic) (An MT copy / transaction copy is required for all payments made via wire transfer)
- Demand draft (Domestic payments)
- Credit card / Debit card (International and Domestic) [Payments will only be accepted at Gallery 7, Mumbai (Offline)]
Q) How long will my artwork take to arrive?
A) Once the gallery has received full payment, the artwork will be delivered within 7 to 14 working days for domestic shipments and within 12 to 18 days for International shipments pending custom clearance.
Q) Will I have to pay for packing and shipping?
A) The buyer is liable for all packing and shipping in addition to the artwork. GST will be applicable on the same.
Q) What about insurance (transit or on 3rd party location)?
A) The gallery can secure a global comprehensive insurance policy on behalf of the buyer, the fee of which shall be borne by the buyer.
Q) What about custom duties?
A) All duties (customs, government or others) applied on the artwork entering a foreign country shall be borne solely by the buyer.
Q) Are they any taxes applicable over and above the cost of the artwork?
A) Any sale that takes place within India is subject to GST as applicble on the sale value.
Q) Is there any local tax applicable on purchases made from international countries?
A) GST is not applicable on shipments leaving the country, provided the goods are exported within RBI permitted time limit, however, shipping, packing and insurance charges and gallery fees are applicable.
Q) What documentation is provided with my artwork?
A) Every piece will be provided with an invoice, a Gallery 7 Certificate of Authenticity, which guarantees that the work is genuine and wherever possible, an Artist’s Certificate will also be provided.

Q) Is it possible to view the entire Gallery 7 stock catalogue?
A) A wide range of works by each artist are featured on the website, however, to view the entire catalogue, email contactus@gallery7.com and a client relationship manager will assist you.
Q) What is proper gallery etiquette?
A) Photography is strictly prohibited. Silence must be maintained at all times. Consumables and pets are not allowed in the exhibition area. Mobile phones must be kept on silent mode. Gallery 7 reserves the right to refuse entry and remove members of the public when deemed necessary.
