Born in the year 1940 in Andhra Pradesh, Mr Goud received his Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Government College of Fine Arts and Architecture in Hyderabad in 1962. The Life of Laxma Goud through his Shows

Let us start off by telling you what he did after receiving the Diploma in 1962. It was in the year 1965 that he received his Post Diploma in Mural Painting and Drawing from Faculty of Fine Art, Maharaja Sayajirao University in Baroda. He has conducted solo shows and group shows both in India and overseas. Some of his notable exhibitions are mentioned below:

  • 1965- 1967 and then 2008 in Hyderabad
  • 1973 and 1982 at Royal Academy, London
  • 1972, 2003, 2006 and in 2011 in Mumbai
  • 1974, 1975 & 1976 Freinsheim and Hamburg, Germany

He had other solo shows at Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, Grey Art Gallery and Aicon Gallery at New York and other shows in Chennai. Some of the most notable group shows that he has been a part of include exhibitions held in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Philips Collection in Washington DC, Contemporary Indian Art Herwitz Collections at Worcester Art Museum, USA, etc. He had also taken part in the prestigious ‘Wounds’ at National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi.
