Kinkar Saha was born in 1962 in West Bengal.

In 1989 he received his degree of Bachelor of Visual Arts from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. In 1997 he received his degree of Masters of Visual Art from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.

In 2009 and 2013 he exhibited solo in Kolkata.

Kinkar has participated in several group shows and annual exhibitions in Kolkata, Pune, New Delhi and Mumbai.

He has participated in several sculpture and wood carving camps in Kolkata and at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan in West Bengal.

In 1988 he was awarded a National Scholarship and he received an award in sculpture from Birla Academy, Kolkata.

Kinkar lives and works in West Bengal.
