Purvi Parmar was born in 1988 in Gujarat.

In 2008 she received her diploma in painting in Ahmedabad. In 2013 she received her post diploma in printmaking in Baroda.

She has had many solo exhibitions:
In 2014 she had a solo exhibition ‘Optimistic Surroundings‘ at Hotel Hyatt, Ahmedabad. In 2015 she exhibited solo ‘Optimistic Surrounding 2’ at Jawahar Kala Kendra, Jaipur and at the Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad.

She has participated in various group shows:
In 2002 & 2005 she participated in Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad. In 2013 she participated in a group exhibition of Bombay Art Society at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2005, 2008, 2013 and 2014 she took part in group exhibitions at Huthisingh Visual Art Centre, Ahmedabad. In 2010 she participated in a group show at Amdavad Ni Gufa, Ahmedabad and she took part in 1x1 Sq Ft Charity Art Show, Ahmedabad. In 2012 she took part in Fine Arts Fair, Baroda and participated in ‘Unfurl’, Baroda. In 2012 and 2013 she participated in group shows at the C. N. Fine Art College Fair, Ahmedabad. In 2013 she took part in a group show at Lalit Kala Akademi Regional Centre, Lucknow. In 2015 she participated in a group show of Mini Prints, Goa. In 2015 she took part in Art Concern Charity Auction of Indian Contemporary Art, Mumbai. In 2015 she participated in Multi Disciplinary Art Camp at Lalit Kala Akademy (Regional Centre), Lucknow. In 2015 she participated in Ahmedabad Art Society and Gujarat Lalit Kala Wood-Cut workshop in Ahmedabad. In 2015 she took part in the 56th National Exhibition of Art, New Delhi. In 2016 she participated in the group show ‘A Labyrinth of Tales, I’ at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai.

Purvi has won several awards:
In 2013 & 2015 Purvi won awards for printmaking at the 52nd & 54th State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad. In 2014 & 2015 she won awards for drawing and printmaking from AIFACS in New Delhi. In 2014 she won an award from Gujarat Kala Pratisthan, Gujarat. In 2014 she received the junior scholarship from State Lalit Kala Academy, Ahmedabad.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.
