Manojkumar M. Sakale was born in 1975 in Mumbai.

In 1993 he received his A.T.D. from Kalavishva Mahavidyalay, Sangli. In 1996 he received his G.D. in Art from Kalavishva Mahavidyalay, Sangli. In 1997 he received his Diploma in A. Ed. from Abhinav Kalamahavidyalaya, Pune.

He had several solo exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions:
In 1997 he participated in a group exhibition at Lalit Kala Center, Orissa. In 2001, 2002 and 2007 he had solo exhibitions at Gallery Leela, Mumbai. In 2005 and 2014 he exhibited solo at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2010, 2013 and 2014 he participated in group shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2012 and 2014 he participated in the Singapore Art Fair. In 2014 he participated in a group show at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. In 2015 he participated in a group show ‘Painting Dreams, Coloring Lives’ at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai.

He has received several awards:
In 1994, 1999, 2000 he won an award from the V. V. Oak Smruti Pratishtan, Pune. In 1996 he received a certificate (student category) from Maharashtra State Art Exhibition, Mumbai. In 1997, 1999, 2003, 2009 he received awards from the Art Society of India exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 1997, 2007, 2012 and 2015 he received awards from the Bombay Art Society exhibitions at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2005 he received the Bendre Husain Scholarship from the Bombay Art Society exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai and he received an award for watercolor from the San Diego Watercolor Society, USA. In 2014 he received the Vasudeo Kamath prize from Sir J. J. School of Art, Mumbai. In 2015 he received a scholarship from Bombay Art Society exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.

Manojkumar lives in Mumbai.
