Anwar Husain
1975Anwar Husain Pattekari was born in 1975 in Sangli, Maharashtra.
In 1999 he received his Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Kalavishawa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli. In 2000 he received his Diploma in Art Education from Kalavishawa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli.
He had several solo exhibitions in Pune and Mumbai:
In 2002 he had one man show at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai. In 2010 he had a solo exhibition at Nehru Centre Art, Mumbai. In 2014 he had a solo exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai.
He took part in various group exhibitions:
In 2014 he participated in Meher – I : Art with a Heart at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai. In 2016 he participated in The Melting Pot at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai.
Anwar won many awards:
In 1998 Anwar received State Art Award from Govt. of Maharashtra and V. V. Oak Memorial Art Award from Tilak Smarak Trust. In 1998 he received the best portrait award at the annual function of Kalvishawa Mahavidyalaya, Sangli.
He lives and works in Sangli, Maharashtra.
