Amrish Malvankar was born in 1977 in Mumbai.

He has had many solo shows and participated in various group exhibitions:
In 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015 he had solo exhibitions at Karnataka Chitra Kala Parishad, Bangalore. In 2010 he exhibited in a group show at Gallery Hues, Bangalore. In 2011 he participated in a group show at Aalankritha Gallery, Hyderabad. In 2011 he took part in a group show at Art Bengaluru. He took part in a group show at Time and Space Gallery, Bangalore. In 2011 he participated in a group show at Artville, Bangalore. In 2012 he exhibited solo at Gallery 545, Bangalore. In 2012 he showcased solo at Artville, Bangalore. In 2014 he participated in Silent Windows at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai. In 2015 he took part in: Silent Windows II, The Spoken & Unspoken and Meher II - Art with a Heart at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai. In 2015 he exhibited in a group show at Volvo Art Loft in Singapore. In 2016 he has participated in many group shows in Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad and at Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi. In 2016 he participated in Art for Cause II and Painting Dream, Coloring Lives (Mentor ME India) at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai.

He lives and works in Bangalore.
