Manoj Kachangal was born in 1979 in Shadhora, Madhya Pradesh.

In 2001 he completed his Bachelors in Fine Arts (Painting) from Government Institute of Fine Arts, Indore. In 2003 he completed his Masters in Fine Arts (Painting) from Government Institute of Fine Arts, Indore.

Manoj has had several solo shows:
In 1998 he exhibited solo shows at Lal Bag, Indore and Devlalikar Art Gallery, Indore. In 2000 and 2002 he had solo shows at Central Museum, Indore. In 2001 he had a solo exhibition at M. G. Art Gallery by NCZCC, Allahabad and at ABC Art Gallery, Varanasi. In 2004 he exhibited solo at Indusind Gallery, Chandigarh and exhibited at Citibank, Mumbai. In 2004 he had a solo exhibition at Birla Academy of Art & Culture, Kolkata. In 2005 he exhibited solo at Dhoomimal Art Center, New Delhi and exhibited his solo artworks in ‘Dharti Ambar’ at The Art Entrance Gallery, Mumbai. In 2006 he exhibited his works in ‘A Consecration of Space’ at Marvel Art Gallery, Ahmedabad. In 2007 he had solo shows at the Nehru Center Art Gallery, Mumbai and at Dhoomimal Art Center, New Delhi. In 2008 he exhibited solo at ‘In Search of the Abyss’ at Mon Art Gallerie, Kolkata.

He participated in several group exhibitions:
From 1999 - 2000 he participated in group shows in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and New Delhi. In 2001 he participated in Contemporary Indian Painting Exhibition at Kunststation Kleisnsassen Art Gallery, Germany. In 2002 he took part in the AIFACS State Exhibition at Kala Parishad, Bhopal and participated in a group show at Galerie Muller & Plate, Munchen in Germany. In 2004 he participated in group shows at Marvel Art Gallery, Ahmedabad and at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi. In 2002 and 2004 - 2006 he took part in many group shows at New Delhi, Udaipur, Mumbai, Gurgaon and Kolkata. In 2007 he took part in a group show at 1x1 Art Space in Dubai, UAE. In 2007 he participated in group shows at Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and at Dhoomimal Art Center, New Delhi. In 2008 he showcased in ‘Awakening the Spirit’ at Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi and participated in ‘Homage to Swaminathan’ at AIFACS, New Delhi.

He has received several awards:
In 1999 he received a bronze medal at Avantika, the 7th All India Exhibition in Gwalior. In 2001 he won the Raza Award from Madhya Pradesh Kala Parishad in Bhopal. In 2003 and 2004 he received the Meera Gupta Merit Scholarship, Indore.

Manoj lives and works in Noida.
